Anne Arnold, myself, and the Narrative Project of Orange County recieved some wonderful news this week.
Last week we both went to the UCI Law School to meet with Robert Solomon , Carrie Hempel and three of the third year law school students that are part of UCI's Community and Economic Development Clinic to discuss their team taking the Project through the non-profit hoops. We had a chance to lay out our vision for offering low-cost mental health services to the community; along with quality narrative therapy training that will prepare students and other mental health professionals to serve individuals and families within their community. They were considering partnering with us to provide all the legal services pro-bono.
They let us know this week that they are taking us on! This really moves our vision one giant step toward reality and it validates what we are trying to do. I think I can speak for Anne on this one, we are excited beyond measure! Stay tuned for more updates as things progress.
