Sorry for the break but I had a lot going on. This weekend I actually had an opportunity to read two and a half books that had nothing to do with therapy. First was Tina Fey's humorous memoir Bossypants. I finished and thoroughly enjoyed Steve Martin's fictional account of a New York gallerist, An Object of Beauty. I also got started on the highly acclaimed Rebels in Paradise a history of the LA art scene in the 60's.
We also had the great pleasure of a visit by London based friend and artist Natasha Caruana. I hadn't seen Natasha in 5 years, the last time when she had a show at my old gallery The Office. Natasha (she'll kill me for saying this) has become quite the international art star. We had a a chance to get out and look at art and catch up. We even decided to try and pull together a curatorial residency in London that will be collaboration between the Hoff Foundation and Natasha's community project StudioSTRIKE based in London.I am very excited to try and make that happen, and to be able to continue working with Natasha who is the best. She left us yesterday and is headed to Morocco. In closing I provided a little video of Natasha describing all her upcoming projects.
